And not only Orlando, but the city of Horizon West. This city is growing rapidly, and we believe there is a tremendous opportunity to reach people with the Gospel.
Horizon West Specifically
Horizon West is the third fastest growing community in the nation.
The population has exploded from roughly 14,000 people in 2010 to over 67,000 today, with projections continuing to rise rapidly.
Horizon West is growing at an estimated 5% to 8% annually, which is significantly higher than most communities in America.
The rapid pace of growth also creates a major spiritual opportunity.
Many of us are relocating to the area every year, often leaving behind family, friendships, and spiritual community. Many people are looking for belonging, relationships, and a place to call home.
The Spiritual Oportunity
Orlando is a melting pot. About 70% percent are transplants just like us. Bicoastals, snowbirds, retirees, remote workers seeking a warmer climate, hospitality workers seeking the Disney experience.
Everyone is from somewhere but not everyone has a home. The Abode exists to welcome every person home into a life changing relationship with Jesus.
No matter where a person lives physically, we need to learn to abide in Christ spiritually. Christ is our home wherever we go.
